There are several reasons to change settings on this screen.
When the system is first set up, there may be settings which need to be changed from the default settings which were set by the installation program. Maybe the location of the Music Folder, which can get quite large on a system with thousands of songs, needs to be moved to a different disk drive. Or maybe, on a system with more than one CD drive, the selection of drive needs to be changed.
If the system is sometimes connected to the Internet and sometimes not, there might be a need to enable or disable the CDDB Option, which enables the EZ Play DJ to retrieve song titles and artist names from the Internet. This feature is used only when you are recording from CD.
Also, you may have a need for multiple configurations of Dance Buttons, Column Headings, other settings, and songs. This is accomplished by having multiple Music Folders. The Music Folder contains both the Database with all settings and the actual music files. You can switch from one Music Folder to another on this screen.
Setting the Music Folder
All Music Folder settings are configured by means of the buttons in the Music Folder frame of the System Configuration Screen.
The default Music Folder is the one which was set when the EZ Play DJ was first installed on the PC. To set the Music Folder to its default setting, press the button labeled 'Default'.
To change the Music Folder, press the button which has for a label an ellipsis (...). This will open up the Music Folder Screen, where you can change the Music Folder selection. Note that you can set the Music Folder to a location on your disk drive where there is no EZ Play DJ Database. If you do that, the EZ Play DJ will create a new database at that location.
You have the option to populate the new Database with one of several default sets of Dance Buttons and Column Headings, e.g. for Ballroom, Country, or Irish dances. You can set which of the available sets to use. There is a button in the Music Folder frame of the System Configuration Screen for that purpose. Its label is the default Button and Column Header set, e.g., 'Ballroom', Country', or 'Irish'. Set this button to the desired setting before creating a new EZ Play DJ Database.
If, after changing the Music Folder, you wish to undo the change to get it back to what it was set to before you opened the System Configuration Screen, press the button labeled 'Revert'.
Setting the Trash Folder
All Trash Folder settings are configured by means of the buttons in the Trash Folder frame of the System Configuration Screen.
The default Trash Folder is the one which was set when the EZ Play DJ was first installed on the PC. To set the Trash Folder to its default setting, press the button labeled 'Default'.
To change the Trash Folder, press the button which has for a label an ellipsis (...). This will open up the Trash Folder Screen, where you can change the Trash Folder selection.
The Trash Folder is where deleted song files go. You may want to keep them all in the Trash Folder, or just keep the most recently deleted song files. There is a button in the Trash Folder frame of the System Configuration Screen for the purpose of setting the number of files to keep. You can set it to several different values, from 25 to 'Unlimited'. Press the button until its label is the number you want.
If, after changing the Trash Folder, you wish to undo the change to get it back to what it was set to before you opened the System Configuration Screen, press the button labeled 'Revert'.
Setting the CD Drive
All CD Drive settings are configured by means of the buttons in the CD Drive Folder frame of the System Configuration Screen.
The default CD Drive is the first one which was detected when the EZ Play DJ was started up. To set the CD Drive to its default setting, press the button labeled 'Default'.
To change the CD Drive, press the button which has for a label an ellipsis (...). This will open up the CD Drive Screen, where you can change the CD Drive selection.
If you change the CD Drive configuration of the computer while the EZ Play DJ is running, by plugging in a USB drive for instance, you can tell the EZ Play DJ to read in the latest hardware configuration by pressing the button labeled 'Refresh'.
If, after changing the CD Drive, you wish to undo the change to get it back to what it was set to before you opened the System Configuration Screen, press the button labeled 'Revert'.

Selecting Logo Color
You can choose the color of the logo at the top of the Main Screen. There is a button just to the right of the 'Skins' button. The two options are

The logo is displayed in red and black.

Font sizes can be adjusted. To the right of the button for setting logo color is a control. Press the left button of the control to make font sizes smaller and the right button to make font sizes larger.
Setting the CDDB Option
If the CDDB Option is enabled, the EZ Play DJ will attempt to retrieve song title and artist name for each CD track from the Internet to load them onto the Record Screen. This means that you won't have to type them in.
You may not want the EZ Play DJ to attempt to retrieve song titles and artist names from the Internet. There is a button to control whether or not the CDDB Option is enabled.. The two options are
CDDB Enabled
Attempt to retrieve song titles and artist names from the Internet.
CDDB Disabled
Do not attempt to retrieve song titles and artist names from the Internet.
To select the option, pressed the button until its label indicates the desired option.
Reset Configuration
When the EZ Play DJ is first installed many configuration settings are set to default values. If you want to return to the original configuration settings press the button labeled 'Reset Config'. Sometimes a bad setting will cause troubles, and this is button provides a quick fix for problems like that.
Selecting a Sound Card
There is a button to enable you to select the sound card in your computer to use with the EZ Play DJ. If you have only one sound card this button is disabled.
Exporting Diagnostic Information
All Error messages are logged to a disk file. The most recent 100 to 150 messages are kept. This file (and several others) will be exported to a folder on your Desktop if you press the button labeled 'Export Diagnostics'. You can send the contents of that folder to EZ Play DJ as email attachments. It will help in troubleshooting immensely.
Returning to the Main Screen
Press the button labeled 'Done' to return to the Main Screen.
